I successfully defended my PhD after these most interesting and exciting years in the lab and at conferences! On behalf of GDCh's local young division (JungesChemieForum JCF Saar), I inivited Charlotte Gers-Panther (Editor-in-chief Angewandte Chemie Novit) and Paresh Kumar Majhi (Editor at Elsevier) for a talk on scientific publishing in general and the use of artificial intelligence in the publishing progress. It was really interesting to get some insights into these topics and we had an intriguing discussion after both talks, continued at a really enjoyable dinner!

Together with GDCh's local young division (JungesChemieForum JCF Saar), I invited Dr. Constantin Hoch (LMU Munich) for a talk at Saarland University. He gave an intriguing lecture on the story of ammonium amalgam. We also had a good time at the dinner with afterwards!

We (GDCh's local young division, JungesChemieForum JCF Saar) have organized a field trip to the CERN (Conseil Européen pour la Recherche Nucléaire), the European Organization for Nuclear Research, in Geneva, Switzerland. With around 40 participants, the trip started in the middle of the night, allowing us to spend the entire Saturday taking part in guided tours and visiting the museum. On behalf of GDCh's local young division (JungesChemieForum JCF Saar), I've organized an excursion to the Job-Multiversum at Höchst Industrial Park, a career fair with guided on-site tours. It was an interesting and inspriring day for all of us! Many thanks to Saarland University for supporting and funding this excursion!

We (GDCh's local young division, the JungesChemieForum JCF Saar) organized some small experiments - including the growth of beautiful and peculiar bismuth crystals (have look at the pictures!) - and info at the day of open doors at Saarland University and had a great time talking to many people interested in our chemistry department!

Together with GDCh's local young division (JungesChemieForum JCF Saar), I organized another ChemScienceNight with talks from bachelor, master, and PhD students and intriguing discussions over pizza and drinks. We had an amazing time together, I really enjoyed the talks and open discussions!

The chemists of Saarland University participated with several teams in the Homburg Company Run Event. We had great fun and I ran a new personal best time (< 5 min/km for 5,5 km).

On behalf of GDCh's local young division (JungesChemieForum JCF Saar), I invited Prof. Klaus Roth from FU Berlin for an interesting talk on the chemistry of chocolate - with tasting samples. We had a great time during the talk, followed by a fantastic dinner with truly fascinating conversations!

On behalf of GDCh's local young division (JungesChemieForum JCF Saar), I organized an interesting invited lecture by Dr. Klemens Minn (formerly lab manager at Bayer CropScience AG) on the synthesis of indaziflam at Bayer CropScience AG. We had a great time during the talk and the subsequent dinner.

I had a fun time with these two classes at the high school TWG Dillingen solving the riddles of the ChemEscape Workshop designed by the Young Division (JCF) of the German Chemical Society (GDCh)! I really enjoyed sparking the pupils' interest for science!
